I can help you stand out in a crowded world, give you the confidence to proudly communicate who you are as an organisation, and give you a clear voice to emotionally connect with your audience.
The end result?
A proud and dedicated team communicating as one and an increasingly loyal audience who want to use your trusted services or buy your reliable products. In turn, increasing brand recognition and organisational growth.
So how do I help you achieve this?
Step 1…
First of all, I really
get to know you
Forming the foundations with your brand strategy
This is where I work with you to creatively solve your business problems with a long term vision in mind.
In my experience, every client’s needs are totally unique. Therefore the formula is different every time. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach.
If you are looking to re-position your brand or create your brand from scratch, my role is to be there every step of the way to guide you through this process.
For me to provide the tools that you need to help you reach your goals, I discover, question and understand your business inside and out. I spend time talking with you and your team through one-to-one conversations, personalised surveys and stakeholder workshops.
I can then provide you with a well honed vision, an agreed mission and a set of evidence-based values that informs your management team to allow them to focus, align and plan every stage of the process going forward together, ensuring everyone can consistently and confidently communicate as one globally throughout the organisation. This is known as your brand strategy; the foundations on which you can now build on.
SOME OF THE REASONS YOU MAY NEED TO ADDRESS YOUR BRAND STRATEGY:
- Stay relevant to your existing audience’s needs
- Targeting a new audience
- Differentiate from your competition
- Expand a product line
- Reacting to political or environmental change
- Build trust and loyalty
- Command higher prices
- Pivot during an economic downturn
Step 2…
Building your brand
design toolkit
Creating a carefully considered, consistent identity
Brand design is not just a shiny new seasonal coat to fashionably make your company look good. It’s much more than that. This short term thinking will set your company up for failure.
Once I have nailed the brand strategy, I now need to create your identity; give you a face to the name that reflects who you are and how you want your audience to feel when they experience your products or services.
I achieve this by creating a well defined design toolkit that reflects your brand strategy, to create your look and feel and to prepare for sharing your brand with your world.
At the end of the process you will have a clear set of brand guidelines to use as a guide for you and your organisation to reference and build on; to keep on track and make sure you are all aligned so you stay consistent going forward from here.
HERE ARE A FEW OF THE DESIGN ELEMENTS I CONSIDER WHEN WE CREATE YOUR BRAND IDENTITY:
- Brand and product naming
- Logo creation, co-branding and strapline
- Colour, typography and imagery
- Messaging and tone of voice
Step 3…
Planning the user
experience journey
Understanding the needs of your target audience
Already have your brand strategy nailed and the guidelines written? Then its time to skip ahead to here.
This is where I work with you to create your user experience (UX) journey, to map out touchpoints* with your target audience. By ignoring the UX journey, there’s a very high chance I will spend valuable time and you will spend valuable money, creating wasted communications that won’t benefit them. By not putting yourself in the shoes of your audience to find out how you can solve their problems, you will lose their attention, loyalty and trust – finding it pretty impossible to reach your targets.
* TOUCHPOINTS ARE ANY INTERACTIONS YOU HAVE WITH YOUR AUDIENCE.
Step 4…
Connecting your brand to your audience
Confidently communicate with creative marketing
If your marketing team already has your UX journey strategically mapped out, then great. I can now go ahead and roll out carefully-considered communications that will support your marketing team.
I efficiently work with you and your budget to support and implement your design look and feel across all areas of your organisation, so your customers can easily get to know who you are and what you can do for them.
I understand hiring an agency-sized organisation to produce your marketing communications can be financially out of reach. With over 20 years of agency experience behind me, I can use this knowledge to become an embedded member of your team, pulling in my extended resources when needed, to effectively make changes to help you achieve the results you need without high agency fees. I do this by becoming a safe pair of hands to put systems in place, ensuring design is consistent, filtering out what’s not working, supporting your team to help them stay on brand to reach their targets and evolving with your business needs in the long term.
Alternatively, if you have a small one-off project you need help with, then I would love to help. Just get in touch with me and I will be happy to chat with you.
