Considerations

Ruth has the ability to work to any brief and at the time of the logo creation was one of the very few, if only female choreographers in the industry. So Ruth’s brand needed to show diversity. Ruth also wanted the logo to look professional as well as artistic.

The result

Red is Ruth’s favourite colour so it was important to include that in the design. To contrast with the red, I included a more conservative blue to represent the contrasting style of Ruth’s work. To showcase the contemporary element of the logo, I experimented with energetic hand writing. In contrast I partnered this with a more classic serif typeface.
